Our Facility
Welcome to the heart of Rustic Way Ranch. Our sprawling 10-acre facility in Melissa, Texas, just north of Dallas, is a sanctuary designed to foster healing and growth through nature's embrace.
A Haven for Healing
Rustic Way Ranch unfolds across a serene 10-acre stretch, graciously leased by longtime Melissa residents, Bill & Pat Daniel. Our ranch is equipped to provide therapeutic experiences, with five majestic horses, a round pen for initial training, and an expansive open arena for various equine activities.
As we grow, our vision includes the development of a new barn in an area specifically prepared for this purpose.
Animal Companionship
RWR is not only a haven for horses but also a home to a delightful array of animals, each playing a unique role in our therapeutic environment. Our chicken coop bustles with the energy of over 60 chickens, providing a lively and nurturing experience for visitors.
The two Great Pyrenees dogs, with their noble and protective nature, safeguard the chickens and ensure a safe and harmonious environment. They, along with our barn kittens — ever-vigilant in keeping rodents at bay — are not just working animals; they are sweet, playful, and offer an additional layer of comfort and joy, enhancing the therapeutic ambiance of the ranch.
Embracing Nature's Serenity
Our leased 10-acre tract, adjacent to the primary ranch area, offers nature trails perfect for horseback riding or tranquil walks.
This extension of our ranch includes not only trails but also a large fire pit situated in a rotunda of trees with log benches, creating an ideal space for group gatherings, family activities, or fireside chats. This serene setting is designed to immerse our visitors in the calming embrace of nature, fostering a sense of peace and connection to the natural world.
